Softball

Hope played softball for the first time this summer

and she had a great time.  She had wonderful

coaches who taught her a lot and encouraged

her even more.  

She batted.  (Well, actually this is her friend.  I can't

find Miss Hope's batting pictures right this second.)

She ran.

She fielded.

She "catchered".

Corn

Our corn didn't pollinate very well this year,

but we managed to freeze many bags of 

corn on the cob and several bags of

corn off the cob (thanks to my electric knife).

YUM!

How To Celebrate '5'

I'm here, I'm here!  

We haven't fallen off the face of the earth,

just into the depths of summer.

One of our favorite activities of the summer

is celebrating Tate's birthday.  He turned 5

on July 14th and I think we came through with

a perfect 5-year-old day for him.
